Super sense of taste in First Class!!

▪   We learned all about our five senses in Science recently.

▪   We then did a really fun experiment to see how good we were at recognising food when our sense of sight was gone.

▪   Miss Fitzgerald brought in a great selection of food.

▪   We touched and tasted the food and then predicted what each one might be.

▪   Some were nicer than others!

▪   We did really well.

▪   Our favourite…….that would have to be the chocolate at the very end.

However…….the oil stayed sitting on top of the water.

Oil and Water

Food colouring added..

We added food colouring at the end for fun!!

Will it float or will it sink?

Before we placed each item on the water, we predicted whether it would float or sink.

We recorded our prediction and then we watched…….

We did very well with our predictions!

Static Electricity

We had great fun learning all about static electricity recently.

The small pieces of paper moved like magnets onto the balloon!

We broke the static electricity on the balloon by rubbing water on it.

The static electricity on the two balloons kept pushing them away from each other.

Christmas Concert

Raindrops keep falling on my head…..

We decided to keep track of how much rain was falling. We made a rain gauge and put it out the front of the school. We checked it every day and recorded it.
